We like to have a good mixture of newly qualified and experienced Nurses to ensure a dynamic team.
Suitably qualified, you will need to demonstrate compassionate caring skills when carrying out duties which will include administration of medication, dressings, care planning and supervision of ancillary staff.
- Auxiliary Nurses (Care Assistants)
We provide full training to NVQ/QCF Level 3 and beyond … we welcome applications from both experienced mature applicants and the young and enthusiastic.
You will need to demonstrate compassionate caring skills when carrying out duties which will include feeding, bathing, dressing and toileting needs for our residents.
We provide a full range of catering services and are pleased to hear from any talented individuals – we are happy to provide full in post training for anyone who has cooking flair.
- Domestics and Hosts
You will need to be organised, conscientious and flexible with a good eye for detail and an empathy with our elderly residents.
Please note: CRB and Reference checks will be necessary for all posts; as is the ability to communicate with residents and staff in English.
Position: PRE-DEGREE HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT POSTS - (TEMPORARY 6 MONTH CONTRACT)
We are looking for people who are interested in a career in nursing who do not have previous experience of care to work as Health Care Assistants for 6 months.
This project, in partnership with the University of Derby, is part of a national pilot scheme and sets out to establish whether 6 months experience as a healthcare assistant has a positive impact on the development of core attributes to make you a caring and compassionate nurse. You should already meet the academic requirements to enter the nursing degree programme.
You will work as part of a multi-professional team to develop your skills and you will be formatively assessed against set performance criteria at the end of your 6 months contract.

If a satisfactory performance has been demonstrated and the academic requirements met, you will be offered a place on the University of Derby BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing programme commencing Spring 2017.
